Amy Paffrath Bio

Amy Paffrath grew up in the Missouri city of St. Louis, where she was born and raised. In her spare time, she devoted her energy to gymnastics and putting on newscasts for her family to pass the time. She was an exceptional performer. Since she was the youngest of seven children, Amy had to find ways to distinguish herself, and she did so by putting on and participating in plays at her elementary school.

Because of her inquisitive nature, the young actress chose to pursue a career in journalism rather than pursuing a movie career. In her final semester of study at the world-renowned University of Missouri School of Journalism, Amy completed an internship at Entertainment Tonight in Los Angeles, where she worked alongside television veterans Mark Steines and Mary Hart under the direction of Executive Producer and fellow Mizzou alumna Linda Bell Blue, who is also a fellow Mizzou graduate.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern California in 2005, she started on a long-awaited journey to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams of working in the entertainment industry. Her Midwestern appeal helped her earn two on-air reporting roles at Direct TV, for the series In the Mix and Created by You, almost immediately after graduating from high school.

The aspiring actress-reporter has also scored roles in films, commercials, and music videos, including Paramore’s number one hit “Misery Business,” for which she appeared in a music video. She is currently working on her first feature film. Her own pop culture news show, Broadcaster News, which ran daily and gathered more than 300 episodes in its first year, was established on the website broadcaster.com by her in early 2007.

Over the years, Amy’s work life has progressed at an exponentially increasing rate. Since its inception, E! News Now has included her as a host and red carpet correspondent. She has also appeared as a series regular on MSN’s The Big Debate, as a guest presenter on G4’s Attack of the Show, and as a guest host on Fuel TV’s The Daily Habit, among other projects.

She spent the better part of 2011 and the beginning of 2012 analysing the best moments from your favorite shows on Last Night on TV, which was shown on MSN.com on a regular basis during the day. A minor television show called Jersey Shore helped Amy, on the other hand, to become well-known in the public eye.

She served as the host of MTV’s Jersey Shore: After Hours and Jersey Shore: Reunion specials, in which she interacted with the guidos and guidettes of Seaside Heights. She is also a model. Amy found herself in the center of yet another pop-cultural phenomenon when she was cast as the host of VH1’s enormously successful dating show, Dating Naked, which she hosted for two seasons.

In 2015, it has been reported that she would return for season 2 of the popular dating show, which premiered in 2013. For the time being, she may be seen on Fox’s Hollywood Today Live, as well as on the red carpets of the most prestigious events as a correspondent for Yahoo! Movies, and she also has a blog. She is a rising star in the world of stand-up comedy, and she regularly performs in some of the most famous comedy clubs in Los Angeles.

During the Improv Olympics, Amy appears on a regular basis in Top Story! Weekly, a sketch comedy show that satirizes the latest news and modern society, which she co-hosts with her husband. Since appearing in five guest-starring parts on sitcoms in the past year, she’s making a reputation for herself as a rising star in the entertainment industry as well. Amy has made guest appearances on sitcoms such as Hot in Cleveland, Sullivan & Son, and 2 Broke Girls, among others, in addition to the CBS pilot “Oh F***, It’s You!” directed by James Burrows.

Additionally, Amy serves as the face of Sibu Beauty and features as “Mayday Amy” in the wildly popular Amazon Kindle Fire commercial campaign. As a way to pass the time in between work and family, she volunteers, writes, goes on romantic dates with her husband Drew Seeley, and hikes through the Hollywood Hills with their dog Astro. Additionally, she enjoys cooking and baking.

When it comes to projects in which Amy Paffrath is engaged, she has established a reputation for working at breakneck speed. That her mother, Mary, gave birth to her only nine minutes after arriving at the hospital is a true story.

The young actress is making a name for herself in the entertainment field, and she isn’t one to sit around and wait for opportunities to come her way. She is determined to make her mark in the industry. Upon her birth in St. Louis, her parents, Mark and Mary Paffrath, greeted her with open arms. Christy has six siblings, all of them are in their thirties, and their names are Christy, Mark, Steven, Stacey, Matt, and Brittany.

Despite their limited financial resources, the Paffrath gang learned to amuse themselves by utilizing low-cost tactics. In addition to putting on plays and newscasts during their family reunions, the Paffraths are well-known for hosting competitions. In order to assist her children in channeling their creative energies in useful ways, Amy’s mother enrolled her in ballet, tap, and jazz courses when she was only three years old.

Amy had a passion for performing as a child and was always eager to try out new routines and techniques. She began gymnastics when she was nine years old and has since earned a slew of awards and medals at competitions throughout the world. Amy dabbled in the theatre when she was in primary school, and she enlisted the help of her classmates to create a number of plays.

Amy’s first exposure to television happened while she was a student at St. Thomas-Aquinas Mercy High School in Florissant, Missouri. She worked in the media department for a short period of time both in front of the camera (on AM in the morning) and behind the scenes (creating and editing videos). Amy made her debut with Toni’s International Models in 1997, and she has remained with them to this day. The agency supported her in scheduling a range of local tasks, including runway shows and print advertisements for catalogs. She is grateful to them for their assistance.

In the broadcasting profession, Amy’s excitement for television, combined with her interest in people and places, made her a perfect choice for the position of producer. Thanks to Amy’s new agent, Kevin Long of The Edge Agency, she was able to successfully negotiate the job market and maintain employment during her time in college. Her work as a cheerleader for the University of Missouri Tigers was featured in the Athlon, an athletic magazine, and Amy was recognized for her efforts.

As well as being a reporter and anchor for the local television station KOMU-TV, she has also worked as an emcee at the Déjà vu Comedy Club, among other things. Upon discovering that she had been granted two internships in Los Angeles for the summer of 2004, Amy was ecstatic. One placement was at Entertainment Tonight (1981), and the other at KNBC.

In addition to Mark Steines, Mary Hart, Jann Carl, and Bob Goen, she also collaborated with a number of other artists, and as a result of their work together, she has grown significantly. She wished to remain in Los Angeles and relaunch her professional career, but with only one year left on her visa, she decided to return to her hometown of Columbia, Missouri. Amy completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri in 2005, with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Textile and Apparel Administration.

She is currently employed as a self-employed journalist. The long and laborious voyage from St. Louis to Los Angeles culminated in Amy’s relocation to the city in early 2006. Her work life has been thriving since the day she first set foot in the City of Angels, and she hopes to continue this trend. She was offered to host gigs on two programs, “Created by U” and “In the Mix,” both of which were broadcast on Direct-TV, almost immediately after landing the job (2006-2007).

2006 saw her complete four films: Dinner at Eight (2007), Moonlight on Ivy (2006), Fly Kidz (2006), and Hauntsville (2016), in which she played a significant role. She launched a successful career in the entertainment sector after securing jobs as the voice of channel 101 on Direct-TV, the host of Broadcaster News at www.broadcaster.com/thenews, and the star of Paramore’s No. 1 video on TRL, “Misery Business.”
