Tom Abrams is an Academy Award-nominated screenwriter and filmmaker who has also won medals at the Berlin, Cannes, Montreal, and Karlovy, Vary Film Festivals, among others. Tom has been a professional screenwriter for almost 25 years, and during that time he has written for studios including Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox, New Line Cinema, Sony, and Universal Pictures. He has recently produced the horror picture NAILS for Fantastic Films (Ireland, 2017), the family feature TOTALLY BOSS (2022), and the historical drama THE ETERNAL ROAD for Mattila Productions (Finland, 2017).
Tom is now working with Matej Minasz on a miniseries consisting of six episodes on Sir Nicholas Winton and the kindertransport (2021). Tom is Co-Head of Studies for ‘ScriptEast'(2006-2021), a development workshop for films from Eastern and Central Europe, and he was a founding instructor for ‘North By Northwest,’ a renowned European film development workshop (1995-2005).
