Amanda Schull Bio

Amanda Schull was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, the youngest of three children, and is the daughter of Susan Schull, the current president of Ballet Hawaii. Schull is the youngest of three children. Schull is the youngest of Susan Schull’s three children and is named after her mother. Following her studies at Punahou School, she continued her study at the Hawaii State Ballet under the guidance of John Landovsky, where she is currently a principal dancer.

During her junior year of high school, Schull received an offer from Indiana University to pursue a degree in dance. She accepted the offer at the age of 17. During her time at Indiana University, she became a member of the fraternity Delta Delta Delta. During her sophomore year, she attended a summer intensive at the San Francisco Dance School, which she enjoyed very much (while majoring in both ballet and journalism).

She was awarded a scholarship that enabled her to continue her education for an additional year. When Schull’s one-year scholarship came to an end in 1999, she went back to work as an apprentice to continue her education. Following the filming of Center Stage, she went on to become a full-time member of the San Francisco Ballet’s corps de ballet, where she has remained ever since.

During the filming of Mao’s Last Dancer in Australia, Schull met George Wilson, who would later become her husband. They welcomed their first kid, a boy named Jacob, into the world in February 2020, making him the couple’s first child together. For her prominent role in the 2000 film Center Stage, as well as her recurring roles on the American television show One Tree Hill and Pretty Little Liars, she has gained widespread recognition.

She was born in New York City and grew up in Los Angeles, where she currently resides. The Syfy television series 12 Monkeys included her as a guest star, and she debuted on the USA television series Suits as a recurring guest star before being promoted to series regular for the show’s eighth and ninth seasons, respectively.

Her marital status is stable, and she is the mother of two children. At the time of her casting, Schull was an apprentice with the San Francisco Ballet, and she landed the lead role of Jody Sawyer in the 2000 film Center Stage, in which she also appeared as Jody Sawyer. Schull announced his retirement from the San Francisco Ballet in April of 2006, after 30 years with the company.

A cinematic version of Li Cunxin’s novel Mao’s Last Dancer was shot in Australia in May 2008, and it was released that year. She flew there to film the adaptation. Schull has a big role in Mao’s Last Dancer, which was released in North America in 2010 and starring Elizabeth “Liz” Mackey as Elizabeth “Liz” Mackey, Li Cunxin’s lover. Schull is a member of the Maoist party (and eventually, the first wife).

A guest appearance on the Fox television show Lie to Me occurred in 2009. Schull was a guest star on the show Lie to Me (season 1, episode 4). Her part as Lucy Hale, daughter of Sorority Wars star Courtney Thorne-Smith, was also featured in the Lifetime movie of the same name, which was released the following year. As Sara, the ghost and memory of Clay’s late wife (played by Robert Buckley), she also made an appearance.

She also made an appearance as Katie Ryan, Clay’s would-be girlfriend, who looked quite similar to Sara. She also had a recurring role on the CW’s One Tree Hill as Sara. She featured as a guest star in an episode of Ghost Whisperer (Greek Tragedy) in 2009 and in episode 14 of Bones in 2010, both of which aired in 2010. Meredith Schull was a character on the ABC Family television series Pretty Little Liars during its first season.

She was the daughter of Aria’s (Lucy Hale’s character) father and a former lover of Schull’s. Aside from that, she made an appearance in an episode of the television series Hawaii Five-0. A commercial for McDonald’s Shamrock Shake was aired in March 2012, and she appeared in a guest role on an episode of the television series Psych was broadcast in April 2012.

Her other television appearance came in 2012 when she played Lucinda in an episode of the television series Grimm, a character who is loosely based on Cinderella but with a twist. In February 2013, she made an appearance on Nikita, where she played Agent Naomi in one of the show’s episodes (Black Badge). As Katrina Bennett, Schull has appeared on a regular basis in the USA Network series Suits since its premiere in 2013.

In March 2018, the eighth season of Suits premiered, and she was immediately promoted to series regular the following month. Schull was cast as Cassandra Railly in the television series 12 Monkeys, which is based on the 1995 film of the same name and premiered in November 2013. The series is based on the 1995 film of the same name and premiered in November 2013.

The first episode of the show aired on January 16, 2015, and the second episode aired on January 23, 2015. Since its release in 2000, the film has gained cult classic status among dance enthusiasts as a result of its endearing portrayal of a young ballerina, Jody Sawyer, and her time at the fictional but highly competitive American Ballet Academy, which is loosely based on New York City’s School of American Ballet, among other things.

Because it helped start the careers of Zoe Saldana and Amanda Schull, despite the fact that the picture was released more than two decades ago, its influence is stronger than ever. A version of the film for television is currently in the planning stages. The character of Jody came to Schull while she was a student at the San Francisco Ballet School. She was found by a casting director and was offered the role.

According to Schull in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, ‘I didn’t have any previous film acting experience – it was my very first film job ever,’ he revealed. “Consequently, I was able to connect with [Jody] on a deeper level than if I had been cast as a boxer or something similar. Fortunately, when the job of Jody Sawyer became available, I happened to be in the right place at the right time.”

Schull’s role in Center Stage came about at the same time that she was offered a contract with the San Francisco Ballet, demonstrating that she was not only a good actor but also a talented dancer as well. Following the finish of filming for the film, Schull packed her bags and traveled to London to join the rest of the cast and crew on a tour of London.

“The fact that I was able to connect to every single thing Jody was going through was great,” Schull told Entertainment Weekly, before adding, “Although I didn’t have an illegal affair with any business employees,” to make a lighthearted point. Both Ethan Stiefel and Sasha Radetsky, both of whom are professional ballet dancers, also had cameo appearances in the movie.

Cooper, played by Steifel, is one of Jody’s instructors as well as a member of the company with whom she has an “illicit affair.” Cooper is also a member of the company with whom she has an “illicit affair.” Radetsky plays Charlie, a classmate of Jody’s who develops a love interest in her throughout the course of the film.

Also, it was the feature film debut of a young Zoe Saldana, who played Eva Rodriguez, a talented but short-tempered dancing student in the movie. We were all beginners at the time, according to Schull. It was merely a token of appreciation on my part.

Your job was to utter lines that had been written for you and were natural and easy to pronounce; then you had to have a good laugh and converse with your new best friend in between takes, which you managed to do during the breaks. It was a tremendous amount of fun.” A surprising number of viewers have expressed dissatisfaction with one of the most memorable scenes in the film, Jody’s last fouetté passage during her workshop dance performance. Schull, on the other hand, is a fan of the scene.

If the clip had been recorded a year or two later, I would have been a lot more loosey-goosey and playful with it when I was working for the company. I would have felt more at ease with a wider range of dance styles if I had been there.” After reflecting on her last performance, Schull acknowledged that it had been difficult for her to see, and she expressed regret for not being able to go back in time and make improvements.

Despite the fact that she doesn’t cringe when she watches the video, she admits that she could have done a better job on that particular scene. “If I had been in that position, I think I would have moved a little more freely. When you look back on your performance, it’s a little bittersweet and frustrating because, like with any performance, you look back and question, “How could I have done this better?” It’s a combination of the two.

Not everyone’s work, on the other hand, is permanently imprinted on celluloid. It is because of this that it is so annoying.” On being asked what she appreciated the most about her time spent working on the video, Schull reacted by noting that she enjoyed seeing the impact it had on male dancers.

According to her in an interview with Vulture, ‘I’ve had a number of male dancers contact me and tell me, ‘I showed my parents that movie, and they realized why I love to dance,’ which she described as “amazing.” I had no concept of what was going to take place, I was completely clueless “according to the author.

In the years since leaving Center Stage in 2006, Schull has mostly focused on acting. She was recently cast as the main character in the sci-fi series 12 Monkeys, as well as guest roles in the shows One Tree Hill and Pretty Little Liars.

The USA Network’s Suits included Schull as a guest star from season 2 onward, and he was promoted to series regular for the final two seasons of the show. The actress and dancer tied the wedding with George Wilson this past May, and the couple welcomed their first child together in February, a son named George Paterson Wilson VI.
