Amir Haddad, or just Amir, is the stage name of French-Israeli musician Laurent Amir Khalifa Khedider Haddad. He was a member of Team Jenifer and placed third on the French version of The Voice, The Voice: la plus belle voix, after competing in the Israeli music competition Kokhav Nolad in 2006 and releasing his album Vayehi in 2011. In 2016, he sang “J’ai cherché” to represent France in the Eurovision Song Contest, where it came in sixth place. He first gained widespread recognition after finishing fourth in the fourth season of Kokhav Nolad (in Hebrew), the Israeli version of Pop Idol, which ran from May to September of 2006. He was the first to sing only in French during the audition. After making it through four rounds, he was finally eliminated.
