Big Show Bio

Paul Donald Wight, Jr. (born February 8, 1972) is a professional wrestler from the United States who is currently signed with All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Wight is a seven-time world champion in professional wrestling, having won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship twice, the WWF/E Championship twice, the ECW World Championship once, and the World Heavyweight Championship twice, making him the first and only wrestler to hold all of these titles. Wight made his professional debut for the World Championship Wrestling business at Halloween Havoc 1995, defeating Hulk Hogan by disqualification for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, with the pre-match stipulation that the title may change hands in a disqualification finish.

The Giant attempted to recapture the championship at World War 3 but was stopped by Hogan, who assisted Randy Savage in winning the empty title. The Giant defeated Hogan and Savage in a Cage match at Clash of the Champions XXXII, but was soundly defeated by Hogan in a Cage match at SuperBrawl VI. After a brief feud with Loch Ness, The Giant regained the World Heavyweight Championship by defeating Ric Flair. Following the formation of the New World Order, Hogan defeated The Giant for the Championship at Hog Wild, despite interference from Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. Twenty-three days later, the Giant joined the nWo, claiming Ted DiBiase’s money as his primary motive, and feuded with Lex Luger and the Four Horsemen.

On December 30, the Giant was kicked out of the nWo after requesting a World Heavyweight Championship championship match from Hulk Hogan. He won the WCW World Tag Team Championship twice with Sting and Lex Luger against the nWo. The Giant developed a feud with nWo member Kevin Nash in 1997, who consistently avoided Giant, failing to show for their scheduled bout at Starrcade. Nash and Wight finally met in the ring in 1998 at Souled Out, with Nash inadvertently hurting Wight’s neck when he attempted a Jackknife Powerbomb. When Nash left the nWo to form his own stable, the nWo Wolfpac, The Giant re-joined the nWo to face Nash and his friends. While with the nWo, The Giant won two additional Tag Team Championships, one with Sting as an unwilling partner (because the match was signed before The Giant returned to the nWo) and once with Scott Hall. In the time between those two reigns, he lost his half of the Tag Team Championship to Sting in a singles match in which only the winner would retain the title and choose a partner for the second half of the team

Goldberg defeated The Giant in a no-disqualification match on the October 11, 1998, episode of WCW Monday Nitro; in a demonstration of power, Goldberg completed a delayed vertical suplex before delivering the Jackhammer on The Giant. When the nWo Hollywood and the nWo Wolfpac reformed in January 1999, Hogan claimed that there was only room for one “giant” in the organisation, forcing Giant and Nash to compete for it. Nash defeated him after a brawl between Scott Hall and Eric Bischoff. The entire nWo then attacked the Giant. Wight’s WCW contract expired on February 8, 1999, on his 27th birthday.

Wrestling World Federation/Entertainment (1999-2007) WWF Champion and Debutant (1999–2000) On February 9, 1999, Wight signed a ten-year deal with the World Wrestling Federation and debuted as a heel member of Vince McMahon’s team, The Corporation, at St. Valentine’s Day Massacre: In Your HouseWight, on the other hand, cost McMahon the match when he threw Austin into the side of the cage, causing the cage to break and spill Austin outside to the floor, giving him the victory. Wight later worked as McMahon’s enforcer. For several weeks, Wight was known as “Big Nasty” Paul Wight before being rHe was disqualified throughout the process, which meant he couldn’t serve as a referee. Mankind gained the right to be the official, but he was sent to the hospital after the match with Wight (although he eventually returned during the Championship match).

After a furious McMahon slapped Wight, he hit McMahon. Wight ended his feud with Foley in a Boiler Room Brawl before turning around and joining Mankind, Test, and Ken Shamrock in a stable known as The Union, which fought against the Corporation, and then against The Corporate Ministry. On the May 10 episode of Monday Night Raw, Show was matched against The Undertaker’s manager Paul Bearer. On the June 7 episode of Raw, Big Show faced The Undertaker for the WWF Championship. Undertaker tried a clothesline from the top turnbuckle, but Wight intercepted him and executed a chokeslam, sending Undertaker crashing through the ring mat; the referee was forced to stop the contest, and The Undertaenamed “Big Show” Paul Wight.

He finally lost his real name and became known simply as (The) Big Show. McMahon wanted to ensure that Corporation member The Rock retained his championship at WrestleMania, so he had Wight wrestle Mankind for the right to referee the main event at WrestleMania XV. Wight paralysed Mankind, but was disqualified in the process, costing him four championships. He has also won the WWE Intercontinental Championship once, the WWE United States Championship once, and the WWE Hardcore Championship three time

On Cyber Sunday, he fought John Cena and King Booker in a Champion of Champions bout. The fans chose for King Booker’s World Heavyweight Championship to be on the line. Kevin Federline, who was just starting a feud with Cena at the moment, interfered and Booker won the match. Cena wrestled Big Show in a classic 10-Man Survivor Series Tag Team Match, with Cena and Bobby Lashley emerging as the only survivors when Cena pinned Big Show to earn the victory thanks to a double team with Lashley.

Big Show then began a feud with Lashley, who departed SmackDown! to join the ECW brand and compete in the Extreme Elimination Chamber match against Dismember for the ECW Championship in December. Lashley speared and pinned Big Show after smashing one of the plexiglass pods with his face. Following an unsuccessful rematch, WWE.com announced on December 6, 2006 that Big Show will be taking a break from the ring to mend injuries acquired on ECW. Big Show told the WWE in December to dismember, and he stated “

I’m a raw-boned bastard who breaks things and moves immovable objects. When I’m wounded, I can’t perform those things “The Big Show told the official WWE website. “I’m much more valuable when I’m healthy, both emotionally and physically, and this break will help me get there.” Wight’s WWE contract expired on February 8, 2007, his 35th birthday.Swagger as he was giving his “State of Championship Address” and knocked him out with his signature punch. Big Show sat ringside during the Swagger/Kane main event on the May 7 episode of SmackDown. After Swagger was disqualified, Show chokeslammed him through the announce table. He would also disrupt Swagger’s accomplishme Big Show sided with Vickie Guerrero in her continuing feud with The Undertaker by attfter being the third person eliminated by Triple H. Wight was presented as Paul “The Great” Wight. He explained that “Big Show” was his slave name and that he did not want to be owned any longer. Wight lost the match after Hogan scooped him up, bodyslammed him, and pinned him after the leg drop. Return to WWE (2008-2021) fter Mayweather rushed out of the crowd to support his friend Rey. Mayweather ended the fight by striking Wight in the nose. Big Show was then assigned to the SmackDown brand.

Big Show was knocked out by Mayweather at WrestleMania XXIV after being hit in the jaw with brass knuckles. Soon after, Big Show began a feud with The Great Khali, which culminated at Backlash, when Big Show defeated Khali by pinning him after executing a chokeslam. In a Singapore Cane match at One Night Stand, Show defeated CM Punk, John Morrison, Chavo Guerrero, and Tommy Dreamer. During the fight, he sustained a black eye and a nasty gash along the brow that required stitches after John Morrison struck a Singapore cane to his knee, causing Show to fall with the steps. As he fell, the steps shifted to the right, hitting Show in the eye. The victory qualified him to meet Kane and Mark Henry for the ECW Championship at Night of Champions, which Henry won by pinfall.Jeri-Show.
