Bobby Bare Biography:

Hello, friends! Are you a follower of Bobby Bare? Do you want to know about his personal or professional life? If yes, so you came to the right place. We have shared his fanmail above. This article will give you all the required information about Bobby Bare.

Known for his compositions “Marie Laveau,” “Detroit City,” and “500 Miles Away from You,” Robert Joseph Bare Sr. (born April 7, 1935) is a legendary figure in American outlaw country music. His son, Bobby Bare Jr., is a musician in his own right. Bare had several futile attempts to market his music throughout the ’50s. After much persistence, he was signed to Capitol Records and released a handful of failed rock & roll singles. Prior to his enlistment in the U.S. Army, he penned and recorded a demo of a song he named “The All-American Boy” for his buddy Bill Parsons.

Rather than use Parsons’ later version, Fraternity Records opted to use Bare’s early demo. Fraternity incorrectly credited Bill Parsons on the label, even though the hit reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. In April of 1959, the same song reached No. 22 on the UK Singles Chart, despite the identical billing problem. A compilation CD of previous recordings titled Tender Years came out on the Hilltop label in 1965. The following year, Sears reissued the material under Bobby In Song. Typically, these albums are omitted from Bare’s bibliographies.
