American singer-songwriter, musician, and record producer Bradley Glenn “Butch” Walker was born on November 14, 1969. From the late ’80s to the ’90s, he was the lead guitarist for the glam metal band SouthGang, and from 1997 to 2001, he was the lead singer and guitarist for the rock band Marvelous 3. Walker was born and raised in Cartersville, Georgia, where he played guitar in bands including Badd Boyz and Byte the Bullet in the ’80s. After being signed to Virgin Records in 1988, Byte the Bullet relocated to Los Angeles. After rebranding as SouthGang in 1991, the band released two albums that year, Tainted Angel and Group Therapy.

SouthGang separated because Virgin changed their contract and sought to steer them in the wrong way after their groundbreaking tour of China in the early ’90s. Walker and the other members of SouthGang have maintained their cordial relationship. Walker and two other ex-SouthGang members, Jayce Fincher and Mitch McLee (a.k.a. Doug Mitchell), created a new band after SouthGang and named themselves Floyd’s Funk Revival, after the county in Georgia where Walker was born.  Walker and Fincher’s wife Chrystina Lloree took turns singing lead for the band. Creamy was their only studio album’s length. Lloree provided the bulk of the lead vocals and relied heavily on guitar throughout the album’s thirteen original tunes.
