Daniel Abt’s Formula E career has been up and down over three seasons. Abt has much experience in the racing industry. Hans-Jurgen Sr., his son’s father, is the owner and team principal of Abt Sportsline, a DTM and Formula E racing team based in Germany. Christian Abt, his uncle, is also a race car driver and a veteran of the DTM.

At the tender age of six, Daniel took part in his first karting event, which he promptly swept.
