After starring for the Badgers in college football, the Green Bay Packers picked him up in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played for the Detroit Lions as well. Abbrederis earned three varsity letters in football while at Wautoma High School in Wautoma, Wisconsin. As a sophomore, he was selected to the all-conference second team at quarterback. He made first-team all-league at quarterback and defensive back as a senior and was named offensive player of the year by his conference and the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association. On August 31, 2013, he had two receptions against UMass for a total of 122 yards and two touchdowns. On September 7, 2013, he had eight receptions for 62 yards and a score against Tennessee Tech.
