NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Jeffrey Brian Burton was born on June 29, 1967, in South Boston, Virginia, and currently competes for Richard Childress Racing in the #31 Caterpillar Chevrolet. Burton is the younger sibling of fellow Sprint Cup racer Ward Burton. The #31 vehicle had the traditional orange and black colour scheme but lacked any AT&T branding during the first practice session for the Sharpie 500 on August 24 at Bristol Motor Speedway.
