Swiss ex-racing driver Joseph Vonlanthen. In 1975, he raced for Frank Williams Racing Cars in the Austrian Grand Prix. A week later, he participated in the Swiss Grand Prix, which is not part of any championship series. He contributed nothing to the championship cause. Formula Vee was where Vonlanthen got his start in the racing world; he eventually moved on to Formula 3 and then Formula 2. He finished third in the 1973 European Formula Two Championship, his first year as a privateer in the series. Following that season, he kept racing in Formula Two as a privateer.
In the first race of the 1975 Formula, Two seasons in Portugal’s Autódromo do Estoril, he finished in a respectable second position.
