John Michael Alt is a former offensive lineman who played American football professionally in the National Football League. His full name is John Michael Alt. He played his whole NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs from 1984 to 1996. He attended the University of Iowa for his four years of college and played there. He received his diploma from Columbia Heights High School in Minnesota.

Because Alt was unable to remain away from football for an extended period of time, he started working as an assistant coach at Cretin-Derham Hall High School in Saint Paul, Minnesota, instructing students in the offensive line position, which is his area of expertise.
