John Roy Anderson (born October 25, 1944) is an English singer, composer, and musician. Anderson and Yes bassist Chris Squire created the band in 1968. Up to 2008, he served with the band in three separate stints. As of 2020, Anderson has been a part of ARW with other ex-Yes members Rick Wakeman and Trevor Rabin. Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin, and Rick Wakeman went on tour with bassist Lee Pomeroy and drummer Lou Molino III as Yes Featuring Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin, and Rick Wakeman.

Besides his work with Vangelis as Jon and Vangelis, Roine Stolt as Anderson/Stolt, and Jean-Luc Ponty as AndersonPonty Band, Anderson is well-known for his solo work and collaborations with other musicians. Furthermore, he has contributed to albums by King Crimson, Tangerine Dream, Iron Butterfly, Milton Nascimento, Battles, Mike Oldfield, and Kitaro.
