Lauren Adams was born in Washington, District of Columbia, in 1982, but spent the majority of his childhood in Potomac, Maryland. In 2004, she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Elon University in North Carolina. Since August of 2007, Adams has been attending classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade. His instructors there have included Bobby Moynihan, Lennon Parham, Zach Woods, Michael Delaney, and Anthony King, as well as Chris Gethard.
