Laurent Cazenave is a French auto racing driver. He was born on April 25, 1978 in the city of Pau. In 1997, he had a strong showing in the French Formula Ford Championship, finishing third in Class B. After that, in 1999, he made the transition to saloon car racing and competed in the French Super Production Championship for two years. He drove a Peugeot 306 and finished third overall in his second year of competition, winning two races. Since that time, he has been a consistent competitor in the French GT Championship, driving a variety of cars including a Porsche 996, a Chrysler Viper, and, most recently, a Corvette C5 in the year 2008.

While working for Haberthur Racing in 2001, he participated in six rounds of the FIA GT Championship driving a Porsche 911. In the N-GT Class, the team’s total score was merely three points. In 2008, he made a temporary comeback to touring cars and competed in two rounds of the FIA World Touring Car Championship in his hometown of Pau. This championship is held every two years. He competed with the Wiechers-Sport Team and finished sixteenth in the first race before pulling out of the second race. He was able to repeat this feat at the 2009 race held in Pau, when he finished fourteenth and retired, so earning six points toward the independents title.
