Name: Lynda Louise Day George, an American actress born on December 11, 1944, is well-known for her three-decade-long run in the entertainment industry. She appeared in the TV series Mission: Impossible (1971–1973). As a bonus, she was married to actor Christopher George. The city of San Marcos, Texas, is where George first saw the light of day. Formerly known by her birth name Lynda Day, she changed it when she signed with the Eileen Ford modelling agency in the 1960s. She quickly rose to fame as a top model in print and television ads before landing a role in the Broadway production The Devils, co-starring Jason Robards and Anne Bancroft.


She later relocated to Los Angeles and began a fruitful television career, appearing as a guest star on a wide variety of shows throughout the 1960s, including Route 66, Flipper, Here Come the Brides, The Green Hornet, Mannix, The Fugitive, The Invaders, It Takes a Thief, Star Trek, The Virginian, Good Morning World, Lancer, and Bonanza. She performed the lead role in the first of two TV-pilot films about psychiatrist/supernatural investigator Dr. David Sorrell (played by Louis Jourdan) that Universal/NBC produced in 1969. In addition to “Stand in for Death” (1973) and “Double Vengeance” (1975), George also appeared in Barnaby Jones. The Silent Force, a 1970–1971 TV series, gave her her first prominent role, and in 1971, she featured in the TV pilot for Cannon. She was cast as Lisa Casey in the highly acclaimed series Mission: Impossible the same year, for which she received Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominations the following year.
