Former Italian racing driver Massimiliano Angelelli is now retired. The 2001 Six Hours of the Glen and the 2005 and 2017 24 Hours of Daytona were his victories. In addition, he won the 2005 and 2013 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series titles and finished second in both 2010 and 2011. Until his retirement in 2017, Angelelli raced for Wayne Taylor Racing, which he co-founded. He departed WTR in 2020 to work on sports prototypes for the Italian company Dallara.

Jordan and Angelelli created a formidable duo, and they barely defeated Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas, who had won the title 4 out of the previous 5 years, to claim the last Grand-Am Driver’s Title. After announcing his retirement from the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2017, Angelelli raced for Wayne Taylor Racing with the Taylor brothers and Jeff Gordon for the last time.
