Mel Damski is a well-known American filmmaker and film producer. He was born and raised in New York City, New York. Damski is the third of four children born to Jewish parents who fled Germany as refugees. His family is originally from Northern Europe. Damski spent his childhood in Roslyn, which is located on Long Island in New York, and received a scholarship to play football at Colgate University.
