Michael Andrew Fox was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on June 9, 1961, to Phyllis Fox (née Piper), a payroll clerk, and William Fox. His parents relocated with their ten-year-old son, He revealed in People magazine’s December 7, 1998 issue that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991.
