Professional stock car racer Mike Bliss hails from the United States. He has raced in all three of NASCAR’s major series and is a three-time champion of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. At the age of ten, Bliss took up racing. In 1993, he won the USAC Silver Crown National Championship, which was his first significant success. In 2015, Bliss was replaced by Scott Lagasse Jr. for the season-opening Xfinity event at Daytona because Lagasse provided sponsorship. Bliss got back in the vehicle and finished the spring Talladega race before he was fired for good because former colleague Eric McClure brought in full sponsorship.
McClure now pilots the new No. 24, which pushed Bliss’ old No. 19 to a start-and-park role. The four other TriStar drivers, McClure, Blake Koch, Cale Conley, and David Starr, now have Bliss as a mentor. He kept his part-time Sprint Cup ride with Go FAS Racing going, but the team cut ties with him following the Quicken Loans 400 at Michigan International Speedway. After Conley was dismissed from the team due to sponsorship problems, he returned to the track in TriStar’s No. 14 for the last three races of the season.
