Ryan Briscoe is a professional racing driver of Australian and American descent from Sydney, Australia. He has competed mostly in open-wheel and sports car events in Europe and the United States. In 2016, Ford began competing again in endurance sports car racing, with Chip Ganassi Racing fielding a Ford GT in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (IMSA). Briscoe joined the IMSA squad that included Scott Dixon and Richard Westbrook, two of Briscoe’s old IndyCar rivals, who also competed regularly in the WEC’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Briscoe won his second consecutive class at the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2018, and the three finished third in their class at the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans. Westbrook and Briscoe each raced a full season in the IMSA championship, and Dixon joined them for the long races. Both in 2016 and 2018, Westbrook and Briscoe placed second in the championship. Ford’s works programme ended after the 2019 racing year. Briscoe is now a full-time driver for Wayne Taylor Racing in the Prototype class, having teamed up with Renger van der Zande for the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech Championship. Together with Scott Dixon and Kamui Kobayashi, they won the 2020 24 Hours of Daytona. The 2020 Petit Le Mans was won by the team of Briscoe, van der Zande, and Dixon in October 2020 at Road Atlanta.
