Pro-stock car racer Scott Wimmer is from the United States. Six Xfinity Series races have been won by him. Chris Wimmer was his brother and he raced in the Busch Series. Wimmer is one of the owners of the State Park Speedway in Wausau, Wisconsin. Wimmer made his driving comeback on July 26 at Coughlin’s State Park Speedway in the 34th annual Larry Detjens Memorial 125 in the No. 1 JEGS Late Model. He was 16th to start and 13th at the end.
As 2015 progressed, Wimmer remained a reliable source of advice for Coughlin. Coughlin competed in six races for Venturini Motorsports in the ARCA Racing Series, driving the No. 55 JEGS Toyota, and he won the pole position at Talladega and Chicagoland and finished second overall in the series. For Venturini, Coughlin’s first start in the Camping World Truck Series came in Kentucky, where he finished 20th in the No. 25 JEGS Toyota.
