Tom Kristensen is a Danish racing driver who competed professionally in the past. He was born on July 7, 1967. With nine victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, he holds the record for the most victories ever, and six of those victories were consecutive (from 2000 to 2005). This was despite the fact that he was a late addition to the squad after Davy Jones was involved in an accident that ultimately forced him to drop out of the race. After that, he was victorious at the wheel of an Audi prototype every time, with the exception of 2003, when he drove a Bentley prototype.

Both in 1999 and 2007, Kristensen’s crew was involved in incidents that caused them to lose comfortable leads in the race’s final hours.
