American sportswriter, radio and TV personality, and former columnist for The Washington Post Tony Kornheiser also writes about sports. Since 1992, Kornheiser has hosted The Tony Kornheiser Show on the radio. He has also co-hosted Pardon the Interruption on ESPN with Michael Wilbon since 2001, and from 2006 to 2008, he was an analyst for ESPN’s Monday Night Football. Between May 25, 1992, through November 14, 1997, he presented The Tony Kornheiser Show on WTEM, commonly known as Sports Talk 980, in Washington, DC. Following its premiere on January 5, 1998, ESPN radio aired rebroadcasts of the program until March 26, 2004. Kornheiser’s radio program returned to the airwaves on February 20, 2007, after he left ESPN after the 2006 season to join WTWP, Washington Post Radio. From 8:30 to 10:30 am, the program was shown live, then from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, it was rebroadcast. With a thirty-minute time lag commencing on March 5, 2007, his program on XM Radio’s XM Sports Nation, Channel 144, aired from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Since he was already committed to Monday Night Football on that night, June 28, 2007, Kornheiser decided to take a break from the program.

David Burd hosted, and many of the same cast members appeared throughout the evening. During the break, the program was rebranded as The Tony Kornheiser Show, Starring David Burd. From January 21, 2008, through June 27, 2008, Kornheiser hosted the program full-time. The broadcast aired live on WWWT from 8:00 to 10:00 am and again from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, and from 8:15 to 10:00 am on XM Sports Nation, channel 144.
