The American guitarist, singer, and composer Ernest Joseph “Trey” Anastasio III (born September 30, 1964) is best known as the lead guitarist of the rock band Phish, which he co-founded in 1983. There are a total of 152 original songs by Phish with his name attached to them; 141 of them are credited to him individually, while the remaining 41 are assigned to the band as a whole.
