New Zealand-born Andrew Ralph Adamson MNZM is an Academy Award-winning film director, producer, and screenwriter residing in Los Angeles. His films Shrek and Shrek 2 are computer-animated smash hits. For the 2005 film adaptation of The Chronicles of Narnia, he served as director, executive producer, and screenplay. He was the visual effects supervisor for both Batman Forever and Batman & Robin. In the Queen’s Birthday Honours for 2006, he was awarded the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) for his contributions to the film industry. The third Narnia picture, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, had a global release in May 2008 and made more than $419 million. He returned to direct this film.
