Nard (2005, 2007, 2008) Parents has been nominated for a Writers Guild of America Award. Linda (Manaly), Novak.

Newton South High School in Newton, Massachusetts was where I went to high school. John Krasinski, a high school classmate, is now a co-star on The Office (2005). William Novak, son of Linda, is a well-known ghostwriter. Harvard University graduate with a degree in English and Spanish literature.

He wrote a thesis on Hamlet’s films. Jesse Novak’s brother, and a former member of Olde English Sketch Comedy. Performing at Loyola Marymount University’s “Comedy for a Cure.”  His parents are both descended from Jewish families (from Romania, Russia, and Austria). Several generations ago, his mother’s maiden name, “Many,” had been “Manalovitz” or “Manalovici.”

The most exciting thing for me is to write something new that I know will work, or to perform something that I know will make people laugh. There aren’t many good comedies to watch – comedies that make you glad you saw them. I wanted to be a writer first, so I went out into the world to be a writer, and then I discovered stand-up as a more creative outlet, as a 3D way to be creative.

I believe in putting my trust in the director. I don’t have a lot of office experience. Good comics gravitate toward one another; hopefully, you can tell who your type of person is by watching them onstage. ‘The Office’ is less of a comedy than many other ‘comedies’ that have aired. It’s all about striking a balance between what’s real and what’s funny.

Different people have different styles, but as a director, you have the opportunity to be a writer at every moment, with every visual cue and every piece of production design. Everything is a choice, and everything can be a source of obsession. On the US version of The Office, he plays Ryan Howard. He is also well-known to international audiences for his role in Quentin Tarantinovak, the son of Linda and William Novak, who was born and raised in Newton, Massachusetts.
