Lord Richard Attenborough’s younger child, born on May 8, 1926. He never showed an interest in acting and instead went to Cambridge University to study Natural Sciences, graduating in 1947, the same year he began his two-year National Service in the Royal Navy. He started his popular “Zoo Quest” series in 1954, after joining BBC Television at Alexandra Palace in 1952.
