Derek K. Kraus, born in the United States on September 1, 2001, is a professional stock car racing driver who has run the No. 19 Chevrolet Silverado for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. The 2019 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West Champion is from Stratford, Wisconsin and is a previous member of NASCAR Next. Kraus got his start in motorsports with bandoleros and go-karts. In 2012 and 2013, he took first place at GSR Kartway. In 2013, Kraus also raced in and won the bandoleros track championship at State Park Speedway. He dominated the state and national bandeleros competitions in 2014.

In time, he advanced to super late models and Midwest trucks (SLMs). He started the 2015 season at the New Smyrna Speedway in Florida, where he raced in seven Super Late Model events. At the age of 13, he won a feature race at Rockford Speedway, making him the youngest driver in the history of the American Ethanol SuperTruck Series. On top of that, Kraus won his first SLM race only a few days before he turned fourteen. Additionally, he was a full-time competitor in the Midwest Truck Series, where he ultimately claimed the 2015 series title. He raced in the 2016 season of the ARCA Midwest Tour, where he placed fourth overall and became the youngest driver in the series’ history to claim a victory, overtaking Matt Kenseth in the process.
