Hello, friends! Are you a follower of George W. Bush? Would you like to know about his personal or professional life?

President George W. Bush (2001-2009) led the American response to the September 11 terrorist attacks and launched the Iraq War. In 2000, George W. Bush became the first president since Benjamin Harrison in 1888 to win the electoral college vote while losing the national popular vote. He did so by a razor-thin margin, defeating Vice President Al Gore. Bush was a successful businessman and the governor of Texas before he was elected president (1995–2000).
Bush’s parents, George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush, had six children, with George W. being the oldest. Prescott Bush, his grandfather, was a senator for Connecticut in the United States government (1952–63). The younger Bush spent much of his childhood in the Texas cities of Midland and Houston. He went to the same boarding school his father had attended, Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, from 1961 to 1964. In 1968, he followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather by graduating with a bachelor’s degree in history from Yale University. Bush presided over his fraternity and, like his father before him, was a member of Yale’s secretive Skull and Bones club, although he was a below-average student and did not participate in varsity sports.
Bush sought to become a pilot trainee in the Texas Air National Guard in May of 1968, just two weeks before he was set to graduate from Yale and his student conscription deferment ended. After receiving his commission as a second lieutenant in July 1968, he completed his training to fly fighter aircraft in June 1970. The University of Texas Law School turned him down for admission in the autumn of 1970. To attend Harvard Business School in the autumn of 1973, Bush was given an early release despite missing at least eight months of service between May 1972 and May 1973. In both the 2000 and 2004 presidential campaigns, his shaky military record was used as a wedge issue.
