British author, director, and producer Hasraf Dulull. Hasraf Dulull (“Haz”) grew raised in London, United Kingdom. His introduction to computers and video games at age 16 led him to pursue A-Level coursework in computer science, technology, and design. He attended City, University of London from 1998 through 2001, earning a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) with a major in Media Communications and writing his dissertation on the development of a horror video game. Dulull’s first job in the industry was as a computer-generated imagery (CGI) artist on a video game. Beginning as a compositor in 2003, he quickly rose through the ranks at the Moving Picture Corporation to become the Visual Effects Supervisor on such films as 10,000 BC, Prince of Persia, The Chronicles of Narnia, and The Dark Knight. Throughout the years, he has contributed to a wide variety of critically acclaimed films, advertisements, music promotions, and television shows, including Poldark and The Aliens on Channel 4.
Some of his programmes, including Planet Dinosaur (BBC) and America: The Story of Us, have earned him nominations for Visual Effects Society (VES) Awards (Discovery). Short science fiction films like Project Kronos, I.R.I.S., and Sync were among his first attempts at filmmaking.
