Former Formula One driver Jarno Trulli won one in 252 career FIA Formula One World Championship races. At the peak of his career, Trulli won the 2004 Monaco Grand Prix while competing for Renault, for whom he would go on to amass a respectable body of work and a decent number of points. Trulli started out in F1 with Minardi in 1997, but he switched teams to Prost before the year was up. After racing for Prost for the whole of the 1999 season and earning his first podium position at the European Grand Prix, the Italian driver moved on to Jordan for two years to replace the departing Damon Hill.

Trulli then made the switch to a newly redesigned Renault team for the 2002 season after the French manufacturer completed its takeover of Benetton. Trulli retired from racing in 2012 to become a test driver for Caterham, but he was convinced to race in the first season of the FIA Formula E Championship. After establishing his own team, the Trulli Formula E Team, Trulli was able to regain his previous qualifying prowess.
