John D’Arco Sr. was an American politician who was engaged in organised political corruption, illicit gambling, and prostitution operations in Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. He passed away on October 27, 1994, after having been born on March 27, 1912. D’Arco was born to parents of Italian descent on March 27, 1912, in the city of Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. He is said to have acquired contacts with street gangs in Chicago’s Little Italy during the 1920s when he was still a child living on the Near West Side. In 1945, D’Arco served as a Democratic Committeeman in addition to his role as a formidable Democratic ward boss in the 1st Ward by the year 1951.
