NASCAR driver Kody S. Vanderwal of the United States. At the time, he was driving the No. 52 Chevrolet Camaro for Jimmy Means Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series on a part-time basis. Vanderwal got his start in racing when he was 11 years old, piloting an “Enduro” stock car on a dirt track in Fort Morgan, Colorado. At Colorado National Speedway, Vanderwal has raced in a variety of classes, including Pure Stocks, Super Stocks, Pro-Trucks, & Super Late Models. The NASCAR K&N Pro Series West offered Vanderwal a ride in 2017. He competed in every race of the season, finishing in the top five twice, and ultimately placing ninth in the points standings. With his sweep of the May K&N West races in Tucson, Vanderwal capped up an impressive 2018 campaign.

The No. 43 has followed Vanderwal from Patriot Motorsports Group to Levin Racing for the 2019 season. He started the race from the second position after qualifying first in Colorado. After competing in the first seven races of the season, Vanderwal shifted his emphasis to weekly racing at Colorado and securing sponsorship for the 2020 campaign. Vanderwal joined Means Racing for the 2020 NASCAR Xfinity Series season, and he participated in all but the first three races. Despite a high performance of 19th at Pocono Raceway, he landed in the 30th position in the points standings.
