Michael Davis is a worship leader, singer/songwriter, and record producer from Tampa, Florida who identifies as a Christian. Pastor Joseph Prince has Michael on staff as the youth pastor at Grace Revolution Church in Dallas.At his own studio, Michael plays almost every instrument on his recordings to create the current pop/rock sound he is known for. Michael’s compositions reflect the breadth of his musical experience, which included classical piano and orchestral bass instruction as a child, and later, in middle school and high school, electric guitar and drum playing inspired by rock.
When he was 16, Michael wanted to be a studio musician so he could spend his days performing on the albums of other artists. Michael had been playing music in church since he was a child, and he had a profound encounter with the Lord at an early age, but God had other plans for him. At the age of 18, he was given the opportunity to lead worship. Michael came to realise that he could utilise his musical talents for more than just a lucrative profession; he could use them to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the world via his songs.For the last decade, Michael’s career as a worship leader and recording artist has been blessed by God with open door after open door. 2011 saw the publication of Michael’s first EP, a three-song offering. Michael made his film debut in 2013. His original song “I Need You” was included in the movie theatre version of “The Investigator” and was sung by him. In 2013, Michael also released a three-song EP he had self-produced.
