Prince Harry Bio

Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex,  June 2003, Harry completed his education at Eton with two A-Levels, achieving a grade B in art and a D in geography, having excelled in sports, particularly polo and rugby union.  Sarah Forsyth, one of Harry’s former teachers, claimed that Harry was a “weak student” and that Eton staff conspired to help him cheat on exams

Both Eton and Harry denied the allegations. After graduating from high school, Harry took a gap year in Australia, where he worked on a cattle station as his father had done in his youth and competed in Young England vs. Young Australia Polo Test match.

He also visited Lesotho, where he worked with orphaned children and produced the documentary film The Forgotten Kingdom.  A military career at Sandhurst; Blues and Royals; deployment to Afghanistan  On May 8, 2005, Harry enrolled at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst as Officer Cadet Wales.

He is the younger son of Charles, Prince of Wales, and Diana, Princess of Wales, and is sixth in the line of succession to the throne. Harry was born on 15 September 1984 at 4:20 p.m. in the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London, as the second child of Charles, Prince of Wales, heir apparent to Queen Elizabeth II, and Diana, Princess of Wales.

His parents announced that their second son’s name would be Prince Henry Charles Albert David, but that he would be known as Harry to his family and friends. As the prince grew older, Kensington Palace, and thus the press and the general public, referred to him as Prince Harry.

He was known as Prince Henry of Wales because he was the Prince of Wales’s son. Diana wanted Harry and his older brother, William, to have a broader range of experiences than previous royal children. She took them to places ranging from Disney World and McDonald’s to AIDS clinics and homeless shelters. Harry began accompanying his parents on official visits at a young age; his first overseas tour was with his parents to Italy in 1985

Harry’s parents divorced in 1996. His mother was killed in a car accident in Paris the following year. At the time, Harry and William were staying at Balmoral with their father, and the Prince of Wales informed them of their mother’s death. At his mother’s funeral, Harry, then 12, walked behind the funeral cortège from Kensington Palace to Westminster Abbey, alongside his father, brother, paternal grandfather, and maternal uncle, Earl Spencer.

In a 2017 interview with The Daily Telegraph, the Prince admitted that he sought counseling after two years of “total chaos” as he struggled to come to terms with his mother’s death. Education Harry, like his father and brother, attended independent schools.

He began his education at Jane Mynors’ nursery school in London, followed by the pre-preparatory Wetherby School. Following that, he attended Ludgrove School. He was accepted to Eton College after passing the entrance exams. The decision to send Harry to Eton went against the Windsor family tradition of sending children to Gordonstoun, where Harry’s grandfather, father, two uncles, and two cousins had all attended.

It did, however, see Harry following in the footsteps of Diana’s father and brother, who both attended Eton. the British throne From his birth until his marriage, he was officially known as Prince Henry of Wales, but he is now known as Prince Harry.

Harry was educated in the United Kingdom and spent his gap year in Australia and Lesotho. He then attended officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He was commissioned as a cornet (second lieutenant) into the Blues and Royals, serving temporarily with his brother, Prince William, and completing his troop leader training.

In 2007–08, he served for more than ten weeks in Helmand, Afghanistan, but was recalled after an Australian magazine revealed his presence there. In 2012–13, he returned to Afghanistan for a 20-week deployment with the Army Air Corps. He left the army in June of 2015.
