She had a starring role in the ITV mystery drama series The Bletchley Circle, which followed four women as they investigated a series of murders. The series finished on January 27, 2014, and she was one of the main characters. Rundle had the following to say about the series’ cancellation: It was a huge disappointment because we would have wanted to have returned. I believe we were all devastated. The current atmosphere makes it extremely difficult to get series re-commissioned, and this is especially true for dramas. Making a second series was a total and utter gift for us, as we had originally intended to make a one-off drama.

Peaky Blinders is set in the early twentieth century. On how she and the rest of the actors managed to grasp the Brummie dialect during production, Rundle explained that they had initially found it difficult to master because it is not frequently heard on television, but that they eventually became proficient after a set visit to Birmingham. Rundle also mentioned in an interview with Radio Times that she was thrilled to be cast in the series and that she was looking forward to it: What I’m really interested in is, I don’t know, toughening up a little and getting back into playing…

All I want to do is be a star in an Italian crime drama! That would be the end of it. During the lockdown, I’ve been strangely infatuated with crime dramas, and I’ve acquired a curious blood hunger for incredibly violent gangland dramas, which has led me to watch every episode of The Sopranos, as well as Gomorrah and ZeroZeroZeroZero. That is a genre that I particularly enjoy. During the Sky Living two-part crime series Talking to the Dead, Rundle portrayed Fiona Griffiths, a young detective constable who works for the police department.

The series was based on the novel of the same name by Harry Bingham. Gwyneth Hughes, who was nominated for a Golden Globe, worked on the adaptation. Rundle conducted some research on Cotard’s Syndrome before taking on the role of Fiona Griffiths in order to portray Griffiths authentically. She acknowledges that her role in the series is a little out of character ”

Well, absolutely,” says the crazy. Trying to figure out what is going on with her is a big part of the show’s mystery and intrigue. You are aware that there has been a history of trauma in the area, and you are attempting to determine what that history is. It is being spoon-fed to you in small portions. She also has a history of mental health concerns, which contributes to her feeling of kinship with the dead.”

During the seventh episode of the third series of the BBC medical period drama series Call the Midwife, which aired on March 2, 2014, Rundle appeared as Pamela Saint, a young mother who suffers from mental health problems after giving birth to her child. According to Rundle, Kirsten’s dramatic evolution over the series is “a genuine shock when what happens — and it’s pretty exhilarating as well.”

She Kirsten “is so youthful and eager and excited about her job,” she Kirsten, “is a great shock when what happens happens.” The Sally Wainwright-created series, which stars Sarah Lancashire and Steve Pemberton. Rundle was interviewed as a guest on James Martin’s live cookery show Saturday Kitchen, which aired on October 4, 2014. Rundle was interviewed by James Martin. Rundle appeared as Eva Smith/Daisy Renton in Helen Edmundson’s BBC production of J.B. Priestley’s novel An Inspector Calls, which also featured David Thewlis in the titular role, Ken Stott, and Miranda Richardson. Rundle was born in London and raised in the United Kingdom.

The drama, directed by Aisling Walsh, premiered on BBC One on September 13, 2015, and was subsequently shown on BBC Two. As Honoria Barbary in BBC’s 20-part Dickensian, a reimagining of an ensemble of characters created by Charles Dickens that premiered on BBC One on December 26, 2015, Rundle was also a part of the Dickensian cast. Rundle appeared in the six-part ITV series Brief Encounters in 2016, which was largely based on Gold Group International CEO Jacqueline Gold’s 1995 memoir, Good Vibrations. Rundle has also appeared in a number of other television shows. Rundle shared her thoughts on her character in the series (which takes place in the 1980s) with I in an interview, explaining that she would be restless and thrilled about her sexuality if she were a teenager.

As well as Jamestown, Rundle starred as Alice Kett in Sky One’s drama Jamestown, in which she played one of the “maids to make wives” who traveled.  Rundle stated in an interview with me that the possibility to represent women with daring and dynamics piqued her curiosity in her position in the series.  Rundle also noted in an interview with the Irish Examiner that her character in the series is the type of person that people love to watch, as described in the following article: It indicates a growing desire among audiences for female-led dramas with fully developed female protagonists, and this is a manifestation of that desire.

That’s something I’ve been cognizant of, and it’s something I want to be true in all of my professions. It is critical that women are at the forefront and in the spotlight. Rundle starred in the six-part thriller Bodyguard, developed by Jed Mercurio and starring Keeley Hawes and Gina McKee, which aired on BBC One and was directed by Jed Mercurio. The fictional story of a war veteran who now works as a Specialist Protection Officer with the Royalty and Specialist Protection Branch (RaSP) of the Metropolitan Police in London is told through the eyes of the series’ protagonist.

Rundle was also a guest star on the BBC One drama series The Last of the Mohicans, which starred Suranne Jones and Timothy West.  Because the series is created by Sally Wainwright, with whom Rundle previously collaborated on the Happy Valley series, Rundle explained that she was familiar with Wainwright’s writing and intended to be involved before receiving an email about the opportunity to be cast in the series and that she was enthused after reading the scripts.

Rundle claimed that she must engage her sentiments and emotions when portraying the character of Ann Walker in order to meet the characteristics of Ann Walker, which are as follows: Because Ann Walker embarks on such an extraordinary journey and is forced to confront her religious beliefs as well as her own sense of morality, there are significant ups and downs throughout the entire series. There are times when she struggles with her mental health, and it can be stressful to portray; you can be crying all day, and it can be difficult to keep your emotions separate from the character.

Your body has the ability to deceive your mind into believing that you are truly distressed. It’s one of the most difficult jobs I’ve ever had to undertake. Rundle appeared as Princess Diana in an episode of Sky Arts Urban Myths series, which also featured David Avery as Freddie Mercury and Mathew Baynton as Kenny Everett. Rundle’s performance was broadcast in 2019.

A five-part psychological drama series on BBC One, The Nest, starring Rundle and Martin Compston, will premiere in 2020. The Nest is about a husband and wife who encounter an 18-year-old lady who agrees to be their surrogate after years of attempting to conceive a child. She also had a role in the Netflix series The Midnight Sky, in which she played Jean Sullivan.
