Over twenty years ago, Susie Wolff started her professional motorsport career in karting, as did many of her racing contemporaries. Susie qualified for the 2014 British Grand Prix as the first female driver in Formula 1 in 22 years after cutting her teeth in karting, Formula Renault, and DTM for Mercedes-Benz. In 2016, when Susie retired from racing and as part of her dedication to creating positive change within the sport, she established Dare To Be Different, a call to action specifically focused on developing female potential by motivating the next generation and expanding female involvement at all levels and facets of motorsport.

Susie’s efforts were publicly recognized in 2017 when she was given an MBE for her services and dedication to women in athletics. The VENTURI Formula E Team named Susie WOLFF as Team Principal and a stakeholder on June 26, 2018. At the end of 2018, “Dare to be Different” merged with the FIA’s “Girls on Track” program to form a single worldwide outreach that works at the grass-roots level all over the world to make sure that girls and women of all ages know about the possibilities that are out there for them.
