One of the F4 members, Vic Chou, is the youngest. Since he is the group’s “baby,” the other F4 members tend to be especially kind to him. His mother is of Atayal, a Taiwanese aboriginal group, while his father is of Chinese heritage from Linyi, Shandong, China.While accompanying a buddy to an audition for a part in Meteor Garden, he was seen by casting directors. He was waiting for his buddy in the corner of the Meteor Garden staff member’s office when he was approached and told to audition because he looked like Hua Zelei.

The concept for Meteor Garden was taken from the Japanese manga “Boys Over Flowers (Hana Yori Dango)”. His character, Hua Zelei, is a quiet, sensitive person who ends up befriending the movie’s main character, Dong Shancai (Barbie Hsu).His first solo album, Make a Wish, was out in January 2002, making him the first member of F4 to do so. Remember, I Love You was out in January of 2004 and was the sequel. In addition to singing with the group, he has published a few solo albums, including “Meteor Rain” (August 2001), “Fantasy 4ever” (December 2002), and “Fantasy 4ever: The Album,” which has two songs.
