Victoria Duffield Bio

In the city of Abbotsford, in the Canadian province of British Columbia, Victoria Duffield was given birth. She is the youngest brother of two brothers that reside in the same house with her mother and father. After becoming famous as a child actress, Burkely Duffield debuted as a guest star in the television series House of Anubis in the year 2000. Mitchell Duffield, the family’s other sibling, resides in California with his family.

Duffield graduated with honors from Yale Secondary School in 2013, earning a high school diploma in the process. With the exception of her 2011 single “Shut Up and Dance,” which peaked at number 12 on the Canadian Hot 100 chart and was subsequently certified platinum by the Canadian Recording Industry Association, she has also released a number of other singles, the most well-known of which was the aforementioned “Shut Up and Dance.”

It wasn’t until Duffield was a finalist on season three of YTV’s reality competition series The Next Star in 2010 that anyone took notice of her. Following that, she was offered a recording contract with Warner Music Canada, which she accepted the following year. In addition to the commercial success of her first single “Break My Heart,” which reached number 35 on the Canadian Hot 100 and went on to get a gold certification, her debut studio album Shut Up and Dance was also credited with her financial success (2012).

The lead single from the album, “More Than Friends,” peaked at number 49 on the Canadian Hot 100 chart. However, Duffield was unable to capitalize on the popularity of his second studio album, Accelerate (2014), which was both a critical and commercial disaster. Day Won, her third studio album, was released in 2019 on her own independent label, marking her first release on the label since 2008. She is most known for her role as Cherry Jam, the singing voice of Strawberry Shortcake in Strawberry Shortcake’s Berry Bitty Adventures, in which she also portrayed Strawberry Shortcake.

She also voiced Strawberry Shortcake in Strawberry Shortcake’s Berry Bitty Adventures. Furthermore, in addition to her previous television appearances, she has appeared as a guest star on a number of Canadian television shows, the most well-known of which has been Mr. Young. After a few months, in May 2010, Duffield was invited to participate in an audition for the third season of The Next Star, a Canadian reality television competition series. She was unable to make it work. Following her impressive performance in front of three judges, she was selected as one of the Top 6 finalists, which also featured Isabelle Stern, Mimoza Duot, Madi Amyotte, Brandon Bizior, Diego Gomes, and Mimoza Duet.

Out of over 4000 applicants, she was selected as one of 16 Canadian youths to perform in front of three judges. She traveled from Vancouver to Toronto to participate in this competition. Her activities on the show included co-writing a single, performing solo and duet songs, and selecting group songs. She also had her hair and makeup done, and she filmed and edited a music video during the course of the episode.

With Josh Ramsay, the primary vocalist of the Canadian pop-rock band Marianas Trench, on the project as a producer and collaborator, Duffield was able to create something truly special. The following day, they came together to write the song “Fever.” On September 26, 2010, Duffield was defeated by Diego Gomes, a 14-year-old contestant on the reality television show The Next Star, who was the winner of the competition.

Along with the release of Duffield’s single “Fever,” a music video for the song was released in September 2010 to coincide with the release of the single on the iTunes music shop. The next year (Secrets), she self-released her debut extended play, which included the singles “Bam Bam” and “Hey!!!,” which went on to become two of her most popular tracks of all time.

Her major-label debut single, “Shut Up and Dance,” which peaked at number 12 on the Canadian Hot 100 chart in July 2011 was released the following year, following her signing with Warner Music Canada. The singer Lucca makes a cameo appearance on the song’s multilingual English/French recording. This version was created specifically for the French-Canadian market and is available for purchase here.

Shut Up and Dance, the title track from Duffield’s debut studio album of the same name, was released by RCA Records in August 2012 to generally positive reviews. Duffield is a member of the band The Lumineers. There were three more singles from the album released after that: “Feel,” “Break My Heart,” which reached number 35 on the Canadian Hot 100 and was later certified gold, and “They Don’t Know About Us,” which was recorded in a duet with Cody Simpson and released as a single in the United Kingdom.

This tour was part of the Lost in Paradise Tour, which was in support of their album Shut Up and Dance. It began in Trenton, Nova Scotia in December 2012 and ended the following month in Trenton, Nova Scotia. It was in Trenton, Nova Scotia, where Duffield’s tour with Faber Drive came to a conclusion in December 2012. Duffield announced in 2013 that she will be recording new music in Los Angeles, California, and she has followed through on that commitment to the letter.

In spite of the fact that it was launched in June 2014, it did not chart in any of the nations where it was released. Accelerate was her second studio album, which was released in June of that year. The album’s lead single, “More Than Friends,” reached number 49 on the Canadian Hot 100 chart, despite the fact that the album’s other songs did not chart. When the Backstreet Boys offered her to join them on their In a World Like This Tour for the second leg of the North American tour, she gladly accepted their invitation.

Following the tour, Duffield had injuries to her vocal cords, which necessitated surgery at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, resulting in her being forced to take an indefinite vacation from the stage. According to Duffield, her management team was notified by Warner Music Canada that the label would no longer be engaging with her management team, and she was subsequently dropped from the label as a result.

Earlier this year, Duffield released the single “WOW” on her own record label, marking the first time she has released a song in four years. Aside from that, the singer-songwriter announced that she would release the first single from Day 1, her third studio album, on her own label, something she has been working on for more than three years. “Get Me High,” “My Mistake,” and “Remember You” are the names of three more tracks from the album that she released in the following weeks.

All three songs were produced by her. “Day Won,” Duffield’s third studio album, will be released on February 12, 2019, via music streaming platforms to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the release of “WOW,” she announced on Instagram in February 2019. “WOW” is Duffield’s first single from the album, which was released in February 2018. According to Duffield, the album will be released on the same day as the release of the single “WOW.”

Duffield is an active supporter of Free The Children, and he has shown his support for the organization by participating in events such as We Day Manitoba. Besides that, Duffield has shown his support for the Count Me In campaign, and he performed at the inaugural Count Me In Conference, which took place on May 1, 2012, in the Canadian city of Toronto.
