David Green is an American who was born on January 28, 1958, and he is a former stock car racing driver who now works as an official for the NASCAR organisation. The 1994 NASCAR Busch Series title was his to win while he was behind the wheel. Jeff and Mark, two of his younger brothers, are also race car drivers and have raced on the NASCAR circuit. As of the year 2022, he is one of only two former NASCAR Xfinity Series Champions who have never finished in the top 10 in a race in the NASCAR Cup Series.Green made his debut in 1989 at Hickory Motor Speedway for Day Enterprise Racing.

He started 15th but finished 30th after suffering an engine failure during the race. Green was born in Owensboro, which is located in the state of Kentucky. He won the pole position at the season-opening Goody’s 300 race and established himself as a contender. Green won his maiden race at Lanier Raceway in only his 12th attempt, despite the fact that he did not qualify for two of the first seven events. He would finish second in the race for Rookie of the Year, losing out to Jeff Gordon.
