Matthew West began recording for his sophomore studio album in early 2005, once again with Kenny Greenberg and Jason Houser as producers.  History, which West co-produced, was released by Universal South Records on June 21, 2005.  The album’s lead single, “Next Thing You Know,” was released on June 20, one day prior to the album’s official release date.
