Guitarist, vocalist, manager, and record producer Peter Asher, (born 22 June 1944) hails from England. His success as a manager and record producer helped launch the careers of James Taylor and Linda Ronstadt, among many others, after he rose to fame in the 1960s as one-half of the pop music duet Peter and Gordon. Since 2018, he’s been touring with Jeremy Clyde from Chad and Jeremy as a duet called Peter and Jeremy, performing songs from both of their discographies. Asher released a book in 2019 titled The Beatles from A to Zed, which detailed his recollections of the band. Asher was born to Richard and Margaret Asher, née Eliot, at the Central Middlesex Hospital.
