Roth published her first book in 2017, Carve the Mark, outside the Divergent series. The novel, the first of a youth science fiction two-part series, relates the saga of Akos and Cyra, characters from other fictitious planets with cultures that oppose it. In 2018, the sequel, The Fates Divide, was launched. Roth published the following year The End and Other Beginning: Stories from the Future, a book of short stories. Chosen Ones (2020), her first adult novel, concerns a group of humans who had overcome an evil master years before.

The institution was established in 1851 by John Evans, a group of businessmen and professionals. Western literature, the literature history of the languages of the Indo-European family and a few other languages whose cultures have been intimately connected to the West, since ancient times up to the present.

Diverse though they are, European literature is a common heritage, like European languages. Greek, Latin, Germanic, Baltic and Slavic, Celtic and Romantic all belong to the Indo-European family. (Finnish and Hungarian and Semitic languages, such as Hebrew, are not Indo-European in the Eastern Mediterranean. Nevertheless, literature in these languages is closely linked to and typically included in major Western literature). The common literary tradition originates mainly from ancient Greece and Rome. It was retained, altered and spread through Christianity, transmitting it to the vernaculars of the continent of Europe, the Western Hemisphere, and other regions populated by Europeans. This book shows a cohesiveness in its main aspects, which distinguishes it from the literature of the rest of the globe. Such common features are taken into account here.

The strong fact of ancient Western literature is that most of it has died. Some of it had been forgotten before it could be committed to writing; fire, conflict and the devastation of time have deprived descendants most of it; and the repairs that archaeologists and paleographers occasionally manage are little. Nevertheless, survivors of Greek and much more Latin works included those marking the heights achieved by the creative imagination and intelligence of the ancient world on ancient testament.
