Ward Burton is an ex-professional stock car racer from the United States. He has five NASCAR Winston Cup Series victories to his credit, including the Daytona 500 in 2002 and the Southern 500 the year before. He is the dad of current NASCAR Xfinity Series racer Jeb Burton and the uncle of current NASCAR Cup Series racer Harrison Burton, in addition to being the elder brother of fellow NASCAR driver and NASCAR on NBC commentator Jeff Burton. Burton, a devoted hunter and environmentalist, established the Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation and has served as its president since 2003.
